Terms of use

Last updated October 2026

These terms cover your use of this website and, if you have one, your client workspace login. They don't govern any paid engagement. That is handled by a separate written agreement we'd sign before any work begins.

Using this site

You're welcome to read everything here and get in touch. In return, don't use the site to break the law, don't try to disrupt or probe it for weaknesses, and don't scrape or republish the content as your own.

The content is information, not advice

Articles, guides, case studies, and pricing on this site are general information about how I think and work. They're not professional, legal, or financial advice, and reading them doesn't create a consulting relationship. Every operation is different. What worked in one shop may be wrong for yours. Make your own decisions, and get qualified advice for your specific situation.

Pricing and examples

Prices and packages listed here are a starting point and can change. Any figure that matters to a decision gets confirmed in a written proposal before we begin. Case studies describe real work, but results depend on the specifics of each business and aren't a promise of the same outcome for yours.

Third-party links

This site links to outside tools and services. I link to them because I find them useful, not because I control them. I'm not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

Intellectual property

The writing, design, and original material on this site are mine. You're free to quote a reasonable excerpt with attribution and a link, but please don't copy it wholesale.

Client workspace

Workspace accounts are set up by me, not self-service. Keep your login to yourself, and tell me if you think someone else has it. The facts, answers, and brand text you put in stay yours. The drafts I write for you are proposals until you approve them, and nothing in the workspace publishes anything on its own. I read your answers and comments to do the work, and for nothing else. I can close an account when an engagement ends.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is." I work to keep it accurate and available, but I can't guarantee it's error-free or never goes down. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.

Changes

I may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives here, with the date at the top.
